[00:01:15] creation and my aim in this episode is to enlighten you with three things.
[00:01:21] The first is practical applications for using AI voice in your content then I'll be
[00:01:26] talking about the pros of doing that, the cons of doing that and kind of helping you

[00:02:08] Now let's give it a go.
[00:02:23] So why would you use AI voice in your content?
[00:02:25] Because it's cool.
[00:02:26] Well, there's several reasons maybe some of these resonate with you maybe some of them
[00:02:32] don't but you could use AI to create voiceover in your YouTube videos whether you're doing
[00:02:38] educational content storytelling AI voice can help you kind of scale that one and
[00:02:45] two it can help you create a different kind of vibe or stylistic choice so maybe
[00:02:52] you're sick of your own voice that's number one that's funny you know we all get a little
[00:02:57] bit sick of our own voice or maybe you don't have like the type of voice that lends itself
[00:03:02] well to voiceover maybe you even want to use a female or a male or maybe you want
[00:03:07] to use like a British accent or maybe you just want to create like a different tone
[00:03:13] I think sometimes like female voices can be sexy I think like and this is all going
[00:03:18] to sound stereotypical but whatever I think like British voices can sound like really
[00:03:23] educated I think maybe like a California voice can sound more like laid back and
[00:03:28] casual whatever wherever you are in the world or whatever type of vibe that you
[00:03:32] want to create you can do that with an AI voice on your channel and it's just
[00:03:38] going to add some variety or maybe you start a whole new channel variety for
[00:03:42] your own channel whole new channel whatever type of like direction or content
[00:03:47] that you want to create with the use of AI voices and specifically within
[00:03:50] speechify which we're going to get into because they've got a lot of cool voices
[00:03:53] you can just change things up and you can scale because maybe you don't have the
[00:03:59] budget or the time to like hire voiceover talent source voiceover talent
[00:04:05] pay them a standard wage for that job you're gonna be able to do that
[00:04:09] quicker and cheaper with AI I'm Oliver by using me you can sound sophisticated
[00:04:14] with me Jenny you can sound seductive you can totally use me if you're like from
[00:04:20] Southern California and to be honest I spent a little bit of time tweaking these
[00:04:26] voices because you can change like the speed and the intensity and some of
[00:04:30] the pronunciation and things within speechify and I did a little bit of
[00:04:34] that but I also just wanted to like kind of crank this out quickly to make
[00:04:38] an episode because I was inspired in the moment we're not fully there yet
[00:04:43] and a lot of times with voices you can tell it you can tell that it's AI and
[00:04:47] there might be some little flubs or like weird things that the AI does but I
[00:04:51] will say that speechify is really good it's one of the best ones that I've
[00:04:55] heard and that's why I wanted to talk about it for this you know you could
[00:04:58] also use it as like a part of your content strategy maybe you turn blogs
[00:05:03] into audiobooks or maybe you have a bunch of blogs and you wanted create
[00:05:10] an ebook boom you can choose a voice on Spotify you upload that text and then
[00:05:17] you can choose someone to read that stuff for you they've got a lot of
[00:05:20] different talent it's funny it's talent it's real people but it's you know they
[00:05:24] lend their voice to speechify and then you can use their voice but yeah like
[00:05:29] screen recording tutorials is another one of course podcasting you select
[00:05:33] the you know male female the style of the voice the you know if it's a
[00:05:39] serious voice if it's a it's if it's a funny person it's a laid-back person
[00:05:42] whatever there's a lot you can do within the platform picking these voices and
[00:05:47] getting creative with your content so podcast YouTube videos errations
[00:05:52] tutorials even reading things back to you I know that's not really content
[00:05:56] creation but you know maybe you love audiobooks but you just kind of are
[00:06:00] sick of like the voices that you hear on audible like plug it in to
[00:06:05] speechify and pick a voice that is soothing or that you like multiple
[00:06:09] languages to you can do things in a variety of different languages and
[00:06:13] that's cost efficient obviously so tons of stuff you can do but let's talk about
[00:06:18] some of the potential downside so I mentioned this briefly but the
[00:06:24] little airs and a little like voice sounds a little bit fake because it's
[00:06:28] AI and I think it's gonna continue to get better speechify like I said is
[00:06:32] great platform but like AI voices I don't know that they can match like the
[00:06:36] emotional depth or nuanced expressions of the human voice so that's definitely
[00:06:40] a downside why are you talking crap about us you're going to need us in
[00:06:45] the future monotony fuck you if AI voices are like repeatedly used in your
[00:06:50] content I think people can kind of tell and get sick of that and I wouldn't
[00:06:55] say like using it the people might view it this way but like using these
[00:06:59] AI voices is kind of like a cop out or you're just trying to like produce
[00:07:02] things quickly and you're not putting like your heart into it so I could see
[00:07:07] that I think that's a fair argument I think this is meant to be an episode
[00:07:12] where you figure out how you can kind of plug this in your content creation
[00:07:16] strategy and by no means am I saying like sign up for speechify get an
[00:07:20] account and like run with it and start knocking out all this AI content
[00:07:24] I think with any kind of content you want to be mindful of what you're
[00:07:29] doing and make sure like your intentions are in the right place and
[00:07:33] you're using a balance of it with like yourself the human and the AI
[00:07:38] because I think ultimately people do want to connect to an individual and
[00:07:42] to a human and feel that emotion that that person is expressing when they
[00:07:47] throw on the headphones or when they watch the YouTube video they want
[00:07:49] to see that that's a real person that they can connect with however not
[00:07:53] every piece of content has to be like this big like emotional connection
[00:07:58] thing or like this creative genius thing and that only you can do it and
[00:08:04] like thinking that you're so important people want to hear it from you
[00:08:08] or from a human there's things like in content or if it's like something
[00:08:13] informative that or like a tutorial doesn't necessarily need like the
[00:08:19] nuance of the human or like the eye contact of the human maybe you're
[00:08:22] just watching like a YouTube video on how to do something and there's a
[00:08:25] voice narrating it do you need that to be human or can you just plug in an
[00:08:31] AI voice and does it achieve the same effect if the person on the other end
[00:08:36] gets the value that they need from that video it's something to think about
[00:08:40] and again I think balance is key balance you've got to be kidding me
[00:08:45] so those are some thoughts on AI what I think about it how you can
[00:08:49] use it in your content maybe ways you don't want to use it in your content
[00:08:53] but overall it's here to stay and I think implementing it here and there
[00:08:58] and getting comfortable with it and knowing how you can use it to
[00:09:02] improve content or to scale content is key so that's it guys if you're
[00:09:07] looking to maybe implement AI voices and your content strategy I recommend
[00:09:11] speechified I'm not sponsored by them or anything like that I've just
[00:09:14] after doing some research found that they're like a great platform
[00:09:17] because you can create things within the platform you can upload things to
[00:09:22] the platform Hanzo voices to choose from and in addition to just using
[00:09:26] like AI voice they've got content libraries where you can add music
[00:09:32] you can create video you can turn your own voice into an AI voice
[00:09:36] text of speech is becoming a real thing and it's going to keep
[00:09:39] getting better and I think speechify is going to be on the forefront
[00:09:42] of that so if you're looking to implement AI into your content
[00:09:46] strategy head on over to speechify I think it'd be pleasantly
[00:09:49] surprised so that's my call to action guys check out speechify and let me
[00:09:55] know what you think if you loved it if you hated it if you love the
[00:09:59] content the concept of AI or you hate the concept of AI would love to
[00:10:04] know so sliding of my dm's at the podcast haven on Instagram
[00:10:09] that's probably the best place to reach me where I will respond
[00:10:12] the quickest keep listening keep engaging keep creating I'm out
