[00:00:00] [SPEAKER_00]: My aim is to teach you about the two new changes to the Amazon Influencer Program.
[00:00:05] [SPEAKER_00]: By arming yourself with this information and knowing how to take advantage of this,
[00:00:09] [SPEAKER_00]: you are going to increase your earnings and get more spots on the Amazon product page carousels.
[00:00:25] [SPEAKER_00]: Today I'm back solo on the podcast. It's been a minute.
[00:00:29] [SPEAKER_00]: Thank you for tuning in. Thank you for joining me. And thank you for sharing your support.
[00:00:33] [SPEAKER_00]: I want to continue to put out content and information in the content space,
[00:00:37] [SPEAKER_00]: the creator space that helps you. As of recently there's two big changes that took place with
[00:00:56] [SPEAKER_00]: the Amazon Influencer Program. There used to be six carousel slots on product pages in the top
[00:01:02] [SPEAKER_00]: left corner. There's now 20. But I've also noticed that because there's 20 slots, I've had
[00:01:08] [SPEAKER_00]: old videos that weren't ever on a product page carousel, now getting rotated into the carousel.
[00:01:15] [SPEAKER_00]: So while it's more competitive, there is more opportunity to get your video featured because
[00:01:20] [SPEAKER_00]: now they're featuring 20 videos. The next update is like the big one. So there's now levels or
[00:01:26] [SPEAKER_00]: status reflected within your Amazon Creator account. And there's bronze, silver, gold and
[00:01:34] [SPEAKER_00]: platinum. And these are like statuses that you can achieve and rankings that you can get
[00:01:39] [SPEAKER_00]: based on your success as a creator. So what do these levels mean? How do you earn status and
[00:01:45] [SPEAKER_00]: what do you get from each level? I'm going to break that down. It goes by points. There's bronze level
[00:01:51] [SPEAKER_00]: which only requires one sale, then there's silver which requires 50 points, then there's gold which
[00:01:57] [SPEAKER_00]: I'm currently at that requires 250 points, and then there's platinum for like the top
[00:02:01] [SPEAKER_00]: influencers slash creators out there. And that requires 1000 points. So how does the point
[00:02:07] [SPEAKER_00]: scale work? So points are calculated on your shipped revenue as well as how many people have clicked
[00:02:14] [SPEAKER_00]: on your links. So $100 in shipped revenue equals one point, 1000 link clicks equals one point.
[00:02:24] [SPEAKER_00]: So for example, the month of September I had 6000 people click on my video links. So that's
[00:02:32] [SPEAKER_00]: six points. You get one point for every 1000 clicks. Then I had $45,000 in shipped revenue
[00:02:41] [SPEAKER_00]: and that comes out to 450 points. So that's 456 points. So that puts me in the gold category
[00:02:49] [SPEAKER_00]: or the gold status. So if that was confusing, let me break it down one more time. So to
[00:02:55] [SPEAKER_00]: calculate your total points, let's say you had $20,000 in shipped revenue,
[00:03:00] [SPEAKER_00]: you're going to divide that by 100. So that's going to give you 200 points. Let's say 2000 people
[00:03:07] [SPEAKER_00]: clicked on your video links, that's going to give you two points because 1000 clicks equals one
[00:03:13] [SPEAKER_00]: point. So that's 202 points. Did I say that right? Got to give a shout out to Riverside,
[00:03:21] [SPEAKER_00]: this episode sponsor head on over to riverside.fm and to promo code clipped the name of this
[00:03:27] [SPEAKER_00]: show CLIPPED and get 20% off any individual membership plan. Guys, Riverside is rocking the
[00:03:35] [SPEAKER_00]: AI stuff. They've got AI transcriptions which have improved a lot in the last few months
[00:03:42] [SPEAKER_00]: and they've got the AI clips, magic clips it's called upload your video, their AI will
[00:03:47] [SPEAKER_00]: chop it up into shareable shorts for social media. That's riverside.fm. Love you guys
[00:03:54] [SPEAKER_00]: and our promo code clipped. And how long do these points last? Where do they go? So basically all
[00:04:00] [SPEAKER_00]: points are based on what you earn in a quarter. So there's four quarters in a year, every three
[00:04:07] [SPEAKER_00]: months a new quarter starts. So if you reach status in a particular quarter, you're going to get
[00:04:12] [SPEAKER_00]: that status for the duration of that quarter and the quarter that comes after that. So if you
[00:04:19] [SPEAKER_00]: reach status early on in like Q2, let's say you're going to get these benefits for all of Q2
[00:04:27] [SPEAKER_00]: and Q3. Let's say you earn status early in Q3, you're going to get or late in Q3 whatever it is
[00:04:35] [SPEAKER_00]: you're going to get the status for all the remainder of that Q3 and then all of Q4 as well. So
[00:04:41] [SPEAKER_00]: you're going to get that status for the current quarter that you're in and for the following
[00:04:46] [SPEAKER_00]: quarter. And that's how you can calculate every three months where you're going to be within the
[00:04:52] [SPEAKER_00]: Amazon bronze, silver, gold and platinum statuses. Okay, so what do you get for each level? What
[00:04:59] [SPEAKER_00]: kind of perks? What's the purpose? You get different like badges and emblems on your store
[00:05:05] [SPEAKER_00]: front. And if you, you know, as you keep going through the statuses, you get exclusive discounts,
[00:05:11] [SPEAKER_00]: exclusive perks, exclusive offerings from Amazon that people at the tiers below you don't get.
[00:05:18] [SPEAKER_00]: Bronze, you basically get right off the bat once you make one sale and you're going to get your
[00:05:22] [SPEAKER_00]: content placed across Amazon. You're going to get brand opportunities via creator connections.
[00:05:29] [SPEAKER_00]: You're going to get access to large shopping events quote unquote. I don't know what that
[00:05:33] [SPEAKER_00]: means says you're going to list of the top 200 recommended deals via email on the first
[00:05:38] [SPEAKER_00]: day of large shopping events. I think that's for like prime and different like promos that
[00:05:42] [SPEAKER_00]: they run. So in the silver status, once you reach that, you're going to get some Kindle benefits.
[00:05:48] [SPEAKER_00]: You're going to get early deals from Amazon private brands and you're also going to get
[00:05:53] [SPEAKER_00]: access to early shopping events, I guess different and maybe better ones than bronze.
[00:06:00] [SPEAKER_00]: At gold, you're going to get everything from those two categories.
[00:06:03] [SPEAKER_00]: You're going to get Amazon private brands promo code. These are promo codes for discounts or
[00:06:09] [SPEAKER_00]: sales that you can share with your followers. You're also going to get access to large shopping
[00:06:14] [SPEAKER_00]: events and then platinum, which is the hardest one to reach takes 1000 points. You're going to
[00:06:19] [SPEAKER_00]: get all of these things that I mentioned plus seasonal gift boxes eligible for a chance to
[00:06:24] [SPEAKER_00]: get exclusive gift boxes shared via Amazon determined by Amazon creators marketing team.
[00:06:31] [SPEAKER_00]: So I guess real people are determining that once you're at the highest level.
[00:06:34] [SPEAKER_00]: They're giving out gifts, it sounds like I'm currently gold. So I don't have access to this.
[00:06:39] [SPEAKER_00]: If you're listening or you know someone that is platinum would love to know more about this,
[00:06:43] [SPEAKER_00]: would love to know if they received a gift and what that entailed. Again, you're going to get
[00:06:49] [SPEAKER_00]: access to even larger shopping events and invite only it says office hours and more.
[00:06:56] [SPEAKER_00]: So I guess maybe you get to chat with the Amazon influencer staff creator event invites
[00:07:03] [SPEAKER_00]: eligible for a chance to win access to creator events such as the annual creator summit design
[00:07:09] [SPEAKER_00]: a color for Amazon private brands. That's kind of cool to come up with your own color,
[00:07:14] [SPEAKER_00]: a possible photo shoot and more. But that's it guys wanted to share these updates with you
[00:07:19] [SPEAKER_00]: so that you know where you stand within the program and that you can maybe start to level
[00:07:24] [SPEAKER_00]: up your game so that you can grow your status and you can really start honing in making better videos
[00:07:31] [SPEAKER_00]: so that if they do get rotated into the carousel yours is more likely to be clicked on out of the
[00:07:37] [SPEAKER_00]: other 19 that may be in there. Please subscribe going to keep pumping out content podcast
